Processing of personal data that you provide when you register for the event

1. Your attendance at the event

We process your data to send you an email with the access link for the online conference. The legal basis for processing is the performance of a contract according to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.

2. Newsletter

Upon your registration you give your consent that we may send you an email newsletter, which informs you about upcoming events organised by Bookwire and news on Bookwire’s digital services for publishers. We will use your name and email address to send you our email newsletter. The legal basis for processing is your consent according to Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link at the end of each newsletter email or by sending us an email at info(at)bookwire.de. We will store your data as long as you do not withdraw your consent.

3. Recipients of personal data

We use services provided by Wix.com Ltd, 40 Namal Tel Aviv St., Tel Aviv 6350671, Israel, to process your personal data (hosting of the website). The data is processed on our behalf (commissioned data processing according to Article 28 GDPR). The EU commission has decied that Israel ensures an adequate level of protection for personal data.

In order to distribute the commercial email messages we use Mailchimp, a service provided by The Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. The data is processed on our behalf (commissioned data processing according to Article 28 GDPR). We have agreed the “standard contractual clauses” adopted by the EU Commission, which are available at https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legalcontent/en/TXT/?uri=CELEX%3A32010D0087. This means that there is an appropriate safeguard according to Article 46 GDPR for the transfer of personal data in a third country outside the EU.
